Setup

You can choose whether or not to integrate DT Max with DT Practice. These settings apply to all users. If enabled, you will be able to export basic client information (e.g., name, address, etc.) from DT Max to DT Practice. You can export either a single client or multiple clients, but keep in mind that the information for any given client can only be exported once.

Note: You must also turn on integration in DT Practice. Select Firm from the Setup menu, click the Preferences tab, and check the box next to "Integrate this Firm with other solutions". Bear in mind that if you have more than one DT Practice database, you can only enable one of them.

DT Practice integration folder

Indicate the folder to be used by DT Practice for importing files. This location is based on where DT Practice has been installed. The folder for a default installation is "C:\WinCSI\Practice CS Data\Data\Integration\".

DT Practice entity ID

After you have created entities in DT Practice, you can choose to specify one of them to be assigned automatically to all clients that you send to DT Practice. Just specify the ID (not the Description) in this section. To not assign an entity, leave this section blank.

Options

Any client that you want to export to DT Practice must have a DT Practice client ID. You have the choice of either specifying them yourself, or having DT Max automatically assign one based on the DT Max client number. With the latter option, you can also assign a "prefix" if desired. The DT Practice client ID can only include numbers and letters (excludes accented characters).

View/edit the DT Practice client table

This table lets you see which clients have already been exported to DT Practice, and also lets you assign DT Practice client IDs before you perform the export (if you have chosen to supply your own client IDs; Note: you also have the option to specify this value during the export). You can add clients from the client list to this table by selecting those clients in the client list, right-clicking, and choosing the option to add them to the DT Practice client table.

Note : For details on how to perform the export, see the DT Practice knowledge base page.
